HOST FAMILY
PARA
LAS FAMILIAS
Welcome to Interhispania
In a global world it is imperative that young people learn about other cultures and countries as part of their education. InterHispania/Inbound España s.l.u. facilitates this objective by coordinating programs for foreign students who wish to spend time in Spain, living with a host family. We offer different types programs: two months, three months, semesters or a whole academic year. All our students and families recognize that doing a program with InterHispania is one of the most enriching and rewarding experiences they have ever had.
You want to be a host family
Being a host family means receiving and hosting an international student and integrating them into the family environment. It involves hosting foreign students between 14 and 18 years of age who bring novelty, diversity and freshness to family relationships.
In order to make this process a success, the family can count on the advice of the Local Coordinator, who is in charge of the contact between InterHispania and the host family. They can also count on the support and continuous collaboration of the head office.
Welcoming a young student means taking care of him or her as a member of the family.
It is a matter of collaborating in their education by showing them the importance of coexistence and respect for the rules, and to help them discover and learn the customs of the host family and of the country.
Students are carefully selected based on their academic and personal profile. All of them receive detailed information about the program, both in their country of origin and as well as in Spain.
The students attend school normally and also take part in extracurricular activities such as: sports, music classes, excursions, etc. Their activity is identical to that of the host family’s children.
All students have medical and liability insurance. European students have the European Health Insurance Card.
Being a host family is a very enriching experience. It allows you to get to know another culture and language and to make new friends from other parts of the world. It teaches children to be respectful, tolerant and flexible.
